Broadview was an interesting point in my career, where I learned that my effort and my skills would go a long way toward creating opportunities. I started to see myself as someone who could move quickly by teaching himself whatever the work required. That was an exciting realization, and it has served me well ever since.
The work was the systems behind the advice: applications that collected and analyzed data on thousands of telecommunications, media and internet companies, which the bankers used to advise clients and structure mergers. It was 1999, and from the inside it still felt like the future arriving.

Maintained the applications used to collect and analyze data on thousands of telecommunications, media and internet companies, supporting client advisory work and M&A structuring
Implemented a new, independent domain for a new venture capital group, and migrated all users and applications into it
Provided technical guidance to a junior developer and a junior administrator
